Aviemore was founded by three partners with proven track record of funding and growing successful businesses in Argentina. In 2000, the three partners met when they engaged in the unsolicited acquisition of Chilean holding Gener, where Mr. Cellini and Mr. Cibils were working for the acquiring company AES, and Mr. Born was working for Deutsche Bank, the financial advisory bank. In 2004, they met again in Argentina with the purchase of power generator Central Piedra Buena S.A. (620MW) where Mr. Born was a partner of the acquirer; Matlin Patterson Global Advisers, a distressed debt and private equity fund, and Mr. Cellini and Mr. Cibils became the local partners in the investment. In 2007, they repeated the partnership structure with MatlinPatterson Global Advisors investing in Agrofina, an agrochemical business located in the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2015, the three partners decided to create Aviemore to provide corporate and financial advisory to clients in Argentina.
