We are architects and urban designers, working from the coast of the Salish Sea, to create buildings, interiors, and urban environments across North America. The studio was founded in 2016, by partners Aaron Young and David Cutler, after twenty years of independent practice. The studio’s architectural work includes: a new mixed-program transit pavilion in Bellevue, Washington, the headquarters for an energy company in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, office building renovations in Seattle, Washington, and single-family homes on the islands in the Puget Sound.  Our urban design projects include: a master plan for King County government facilities located in downtown Seattle, crafting experiential viewsheds in Hercules, California, and territorial strategies for the restoration and occupation of over three-thousand acres in Missoula County, Montana. As a full-service design practice, we work alongside clients, communities, consultants, and contractors, from initial project strategies to the realization of built work.  And we expand our team through collaborations that cross conventional boundaries to help us ask more relevant questions and create more resonant work.
