The mission of the Japan-United States Educational Commission (JUSEC) is to promote mutual understanding between Japan and the U.S. through educational exchange. This is primarily accomplished through the administration of the Fulbright Program which has awarded study and research grants to over 9,500 Japanese and Americans since 1952. The Commission is funded by both the Japanese and U.S. governments, the private sector, and the Alumni Association & Foundation.
