Penobscot Valley Hospital in Lincoln, Maine has been serving the Lincoln Lakes Region of northern Penobscot County since 1973 when federal legislation passed to establish Hospital Administrative District #1 for the 15-town community, ensuring the availability of future emergency medical care. Over forty years later, PVH continues to serve the needs of our community, now as a non-profit Critical Access Hospital with 25 beds. The 10-member board of directors is made up of men and women who live, work, and receive healthcare in our region. Services provided include: • acute care, • skilled care, • emergency care, • imaging services, • laboratory services, • primary care, • surgical services, • rehabilitation and speech therapy, • and specialty care provided through partnerships with local healthcare facilities. The mission at PVH is to be our community’s first choice in healthcare, known for a culture of compassion, quality and safety, and to be an excellent community partner, working together every day to improve the health and well-being of those we serve.
