Caluwe, Inc. is a small manufacturer of architectural indoor wood boilers for residential use. We are known under the name Hydro-to-Heat-Convertor. We design/build wood stove boilers on a craft basis, working purely in heavy gauge steel. Over time we have evolved radically different designs from the norm, that have stood the test of time as well as performance. We bring variety & invention to a rather conservative industry . Much time has been spent working closely with builders/architects to help customers find the right hearth appliance for their home. Because we don't have capital tied up in expensive machinery, we can afford to be more adventurous than the big manufacturers. We can go from an idea to a new model within 15 days of the first sketch! We build by hand, taking ideas that first formed on the shop floor, that over the years have evolved into the basic models that we now offer. Caluwe, Inc. is also active as a Design / Build contracting company working in the Insulating Concrete Forms (ICF’s) marketplace. We provide an alternative to traditional construction. Using cutting edge techniques, systems and materials, homeowners can save on energy costs for years to come. We also provide all services related to wood frame buildings and find that when we apply a balance between the two disciplines we provide a better home far beyond the expectations of the past.
