The Department for Place, Space and People (DPT PLC–SPC–PPL) is a publishing platform dedicated to documenting and archiving the nuances of people and place. We draw attention to communities, cultures and landscapes that are under-represented: tales of the working classes, lost community spaces, BAME issues, social housing and town planning are just some of the subject matters we aim to bring into focus. Our published works rely on bringing artists and writers together, collaborating on impactful work, as we strive to bring communities together. We are advocates of long form, slow, well researched and factually accurate texts. DPT PLC–SPC–PPL is to become a vast archive of work that amplifies voices and rekindles our interest in forgotten spaces.
