It provides students with unique networking opportunities with peers and many Marketing professionals. With over 400 participants and 20 sponsors, SMMW is THE annual event for Marketing students in Montreal. Involved Universities McGill – Desautels UQAM – École des sciences de la gestion Concordia – John Molson School of Business (JMSB) HEC Montréal Networking Cocktails Every night of the week is hosted by a different business faculty. Students therefore have the opportunity to meet peers and industry professionals in renewed environments and hence create precious contacts. Conferences Different topics are brought up every night by carefully selected keynote speakers who come directly from the job market. Speakers offer participants unique perspectives on the real Marketing field that is awaiting them right after their studies. Workshops Participants also get the chance to get their hands dirty through various workshops that are offered by the speakers. Workshops can resemble anything from the preparation of an advertising pitch to the simulation of a cold call. Academic Cases A number of participants are also registered as competitors for the academic cases. Briefed by renown companies on Monday, each competing team has to present an integrated solution to the judges in the companies’ offices over the course of the week. Academic case winners are announced during the Closing Cocktail.
