The Foundation for Culinary Arts (FFCA), a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, was established in July 2008. FFCA inspires and empowers socially and economically disadvantaged students through educational programming and career advancement opportunities in the culinary industry. Since its inception, FFCA has awarded nearly $3 million dollars in scholarship funds to help close to 1,00 students and counting complete their culinary and hospitality education and receive vocational training. In summer 2016, FFCA launched a program in partnership with Chicago Public Schools (CPS) and C-CAP (Careers Through Culinary Arts Program) sending high school students in underserved communities to summer culinary camp, sparking interest and providing skills in the culinary arts. FFCA provides funding and programming to help students build a solid foundation for their future. FFCA is supported by funding from private donors including individuals, corporations, and foundations. In addition, there are a number of fundraising events and activities throughout the year.
