Corporación Aldea Global is a non-governmental organization that promotes sustainable development. We have extensive experience in implementing projects that contribute to the improvement of living standards in rural communities and indigenous and afro-Colombian territories in Colombia. Aldea Global has delivered lasting results in many areas such as climate change mitigation and adaptation, payment schemes for environmental services, hydrographic watershed planning, forest management and governance, industrial reconversion, among others. The expertise of Corporación Aldea Global is based on participatory strategies, social engagement and empowerment, focused on gender and generations, as key factors for achieving sustainability. Our rights-based approach involves rural and tribal communities from the start with better communication channels, stronger interaction with public and private institutions. This is especially important for minorities and poor farming communities, our main partners in the development of projects.
