OUR STORY A few years ago our founder, Amanda Karpeles was the owner of an incorporated legal practice, having worked as a partner in a national law firm for many years. She was disillusioned about the law and her contribution to her community. Amanda was helping businesses settle injury claims and injured workers get just compensation, and seeing the same injuries happening over and over again. She had forensically examined the causes and advised on liability regarding literally thousands of accidents and didn’t like what she found. WHAT AMANDA DISCOVERED Businesses were spending extraordinary amounts of money setting up safe systems of work and meeting legislative and regulatory compliance. Many sought to exceed the minimum standards required of them and be leaders setting new industry standards. Often they were only marginally successful.
