The RSPCA Solent Branch is the focus for local animal welfare services covering 400 sq.miles including the Portsmouth and Southampton area. We operates the Stubbington Ark Rescue and Re-Homing centre, one of the largest RSPCA centres in the country. Caring for and re-homing all manner of animals, domestic, wildlife, farm stock and exotics and there are usually more than 400 animals on site at any one time. We also operate an Animal Welfare Clinic in Southampton offering low cost veterinary care for people on benefit. As you can imagine our running costs are extremely high and we have to raise over £3,400 per day to keep the branch running. We are a self funding charity receiving no income from Government or Lottery. In 2013 only 3% of our income came from the national RSPCA.
