Since 2013, our US based Empower Mali foundation has partnered with rural villages in Mali, West Africa to bring accessible education, clean water, clean energy and make other basic amenities a reality for many communities around Mali. Empower Mali believes that the citizens and communities of Mali have the right to become self-reliant and break the cycle of poverty that has affected them for generations. We work to form a close partnership with the citizens of Mali and Malian government officials believing no one best knows the needs than the community we serve. We also focus on training leaders in these communities so the effect of our projects become long term and self-sustainable.
