Global Learning Advancement Department (GLAD) is a non-profit organization founded by a group of former Japanese teachers with a vision to support the growth of Global-minded students in Japan. In our early years, GLAD was an organization specialized in the training of Japanese teachers through courses and seminars. We trained teachers on how to provide the upcoming generations of young Japanese students to acquire the language proficiency, skills and inter-cultural knowledge to thrive in a global society. However, in this era of globalization, we believe that these Japanese teachers must cooperate with foreign teachers to provide the ultimate learning experience for Japanese students. Therefore, we at GLAD incorporated a team focused on the recruiting, training and dispatching of foreign teachers to local public and private schools. We believe that foreign teachers will be the bridge between the world and the key to modernizing Foreign Language Education in Japan. Our mission is to help these eager and passionate teachers throughout their time in Japan, in and out of the workplace. We provide teachers with the skills, tools and mindsets to be an influential teacher in the classroom. In addition, we give positive encouragement to young foreign language learners. To help foster and encourage growth within the children of Japan.
