www.abps.chThe Association of Swiss Private Banks (ASPB) comprises 8 member banks employing more than 9000 people across the globe. Its permanent secretariat is located in Geneva. Through its permanent Secretariat based in Geneva, the ASPB’s primary mission is to defend and represent the business interests of Swiss private banks. It strives to establish and maintain optimum conditions that support the development of the private and institutional asset management sector in Switzerland. The members of the ASPB are Swiss banks that are privately owned and not publicly traded. They are supervised by the Financial Market Authority and regulated by the Federal Law on Banks of 8 November 1934. Four of the ASPB's members meet the definition of a Swiss private banker and are also members of the Swiss Private Bankers Association. These are Bordier & Cie, E. Gutzwiller & Cie, Rahn+Bodmer Co. and Reichmuth & Co. The remaining members of the Association - Gonet & Cie SA, Bank Lombard Odier & Co Ltd, Mirabaud & Cie SA and Banque Pictet & Cie SA - are incorporated under Swiss law as companies limited by shares. Les membres de l’Association de Banques Privées Suisses (ABPS) sont actives principalement dans la gestion de fortune privée ou institutionnelle et assujetties à la Loi fédérale sur les banques et les caisses d’épargne du 8 novembre 1932.
