The distinct development oriented environment, backed with impressive historic, architectural and heritage provided impetus to Dr Salem Nasser Al-Rasby, one of the first Omani Nationals with a Doctorate in Civil Engineering along with two partners, for creation of Gulf Engineering Consultancy (GEC), in the year 1982.
