The mission of IDEATE is to support our clients to break the cycle of poverty by providing highly vulnerable and underserved individuals person-tailored pathways to careers in both competitive and self-employment utilizing technology and community engagement. Founded in 2014, IDEATE was envisioned as an inclusive employment program dedicated to providing trauma-informed care to all individuals who experience barriers to getting and sustaining employment opportunities. An Employment First organization, IDEATE is committed to a core set of values. These values include respect for human rights and the dignity of every individual; a commitment to facilitating the personal, economic, and social independence of those with disabilities; promoting empowerment and emphasizing clients’ strengths; advocating for the fair and adequate provision of services; and providing a gateway to assistive technology that empowers those with disabilities to succeed at their highest potential.
