The San Francisco Teacher Residency (SFTR) aims to significantly improve academic achievement and social-emotional development for students in San Francisco’s public schools by recruiting, preparing, and supporting highly effective and equity-centered teachers. By the end of the 2014-2015 school year, SFTR will have prepared over 100 new teachers to serve in high-needs schools and subject areas. Now in our fifth year, we are proud to celebrate our 87% teacher retention rate.
