DangerPoint Ltd

www.dangerpoint.org.uk

DangerPoint is a charity designed like a film set with various life-like scenarios used to deliver educational tours with fully trained “Rangers”, supported by a bespoke interactive avatar. The educational programmes we offer can be delivered in schools or other settings, remotely via Microsoft Teams and of course at our innovative visitor centre in Talacre. The programmes cover everyday situations that can pose the most risk to children's health, safety and overall wellbeing. Our resources can be used to delivered varied sessions ranging from road and fire safety to equality and diversity and climate change awareness. Our core delivery is aimed at Key Stage 2 children although we have numerous programmes that target specific communities and demographics (e.g Fire Safe in partnership with North Wales Fire and Rescue which is an outreach programme working with young people at risk of fire setting behaviour.) We aim to promote and disseminate information regarding best safety practice by creating meaningful partnerships with a variety of organisations that can enhance the DangerPoint ethos and experience. We do this by maintaining close links with key founding partners (North Wales Police and North Wales Fire and Rescue), other statutory agencies and other charities to ensure our programmes and resources remain current and appropriate to the lives of children and young people today. We consistently liaise and co-operate with other relevant bodies to create meaningful and sustainable working relationships to benefit our visitors and ensure they are receiving the most up-to-date and relevant educational messages.
