Slow Food Barbados is a not-for- profit organization. We are a community of like-minded individuals, farmers, chefs, restaurateurs, food producers, educators and foodies that have joined together to help build a stronger food system in Barbados. This in turn enhances food security for our island, supports communities, and cares for the environment in which we live. Slow Food Barbados supports good, clean and fair food: - GOOD a fresh and flavorsome seasonal diet that satisfies the senses and is part of our local culture; - CLEAN food production and consumption that does not harm the environment, animal welfare or our health; - FAIR accessible prices for consumers and fair conditions and pay for small-scale producers.
