Fabrica Immobiliare is an Italian RE asset management company working since 2005 and controlled by Caltagirone Group. Thanks to the quality of the asset management services offered and a best practice oriented approach, Fabrica attracted leading institutional investors and established its brand in the industry. Fabrica currently manages 15 real estate funds/compartments for c.a. € 5.7 billion of total AUM of which more than 90% is relating to institutional investors (mainly pension funds). Fabrica has developed a distinctive track record with regards to: - the set up of real estate investment platforms to manage the liquidity of leading welfare entities, including the first fund, dedicated to an Italian first pillar pension fund, with a pan-european asset allocation; - the acquisition of real estate portfolios originally held by major first pillar pension funds, through contribution in kind operations; - investments in opportunistic and value add portfolios; - investments in the social sector (e.g. nursing homes, social housing, including student housing, research institutes, etc). Fabrica is among the most dynamic and longest-running Italian operators in social responsibility investments, having a ten-year experience gained with the launch of the first social responsible real estate fund, that invested INPS’s (national public pension fund) equity to support university and research institutes real estate projects. Totally, Fabrica started a 1bln € investment program for social responsibility, supporting the welfare state to bridge infrastructural gap (mainly student housing and social housing, with an investment plan that also includes Southern Italy’s area).
