Panetolikos Football Club, or with its full name Panetolikós Gymnastikós Filekpedeftikós Síllogos, is a Greek professional football club based in Agrinio, Greece. Panetolikos was founded in 1926 and is considered one of the historical clubs in Greece, currently participating in the Greek First Division.Panetolikos was founded on March 9, 1926 by people of sports, culture and education, who realized that there was a need to create an organization that would operate in Agrinio and more generally in Western Greece, in the respective fields. Since its starting point, the team has managed to gather the local community and has developed an intense action and willing to become a very popular and beloved Association. The numerous successes , the organized events and the produced work in general, increased its popularity in the society. By approaching the completion of a century of life, Panetolikos is considered to be the most important representatives of our region in Greece and abroad. The team earned a variety of distinctions in the 1950s that continued in the 1970s and reached the peak from the 2005 until today. Under the guidance of the owner Foti Kostoula, Panetolikos has been playing for the last seven seasons in the Greek Championship (Super league) and is ranked among the best teams in Greece, with thousands of proud and loyal supporters.
