Aisthesis Medical
www.ai-sthesis.comGiven that approximately 234 million surgical procedures are performed annually worldwide, it is reported that at least three million patients each year experience prolonged and potentially preventable complications during surgery. Especially, in a busy operating room, where the anesthesia provider multitasks several steps to monitor and treat the patient, the chances of inadvertent errors and oversights are rather high. If vital signs can be accurately predicted, the anesthesiologist may proactively search for possible causes to prevent severe complications. Recognizing this unmet need and leveraging recent advances in perioperative informatics, we present Aisthesis, an AI-driven software that supports anesthesiologists by predicting adverse effects of anesthesia. Aisthesis can contribute to improving patient safety and quality of care by providing point-of-care clinical decision support.
