The SVI is a third party recognised by the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) as a competent authority pursuant to Article 29 of the STS Regulation and Section 44 of the German Banking Act (Kreditwesengesetz) to verify compliance with the STS criteria pursuant to Article 27 (2) of the STS regulation.
