Fundamental Inc.
www.fundamental-inc.comFundamental is a boutique consulting firm that works with individuals, families, and organizations, to help them use their resources (financial and otherwise) to build a more just and equitable world. The firm takes an innovative approach to making social change—one that involves mapping new trends, collaborating with thought leaders, developing and executing on impactful grantmaking strategies, and devising creative solutions to complex problems. While this is a new iteration of the company, the firm has been in business for nearly 30 years. During that time, we developed an expertise in starting new foundations, working on intergenerational family foundation issues, building out strategic giving portfolios, and managing day to day foundation operations. We have a unique expertise working with those in the creative community in Los Angeles, but also work with families across the country. Over time, our team has managed grant portfolios on a range of issues – including arts education, Jewish life, democracy, racial justice, bridging, civic engagement, economic development, food policy and hunger, the environment, and women’s reproductive health. When relevant, we incorporate political giving and advocacy strategies, develop issue awareness campaigns, represent clients on key non-profit boards, and manage events that engage our clients' networks to affect change.
