INDIA AFRICA TRADE COUNCIL

www.indafrica.in

The idea of India Africa Trade Council first occurred in early 2020, conceptualised by the advent of COVID19 that took over the world by storm and India and Africa besides having established a series of successful partnerships where India had proven its indulgence for humanitarian deeds in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 and United Nations Global Compact doctrines and the India Africa Partnership. The IATC was formed in consultation with the various heads of trade bodies in Africa and the presidents/representatives and professionals of high repute from the entire Indo-African region with a view to giving the business communities of both these regions a voice and a tool to foster development. The IATC has its global secretariat in Bangalore with offices in Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Mauritania, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho and South Africa and is registered as a non profit organisation under the Indian Trusts act from India. IATC is now developed as a multilateral organization working in conjunction and affiliation with other Foreign Missions and Partners dedicated to spreading the support for trade, business & investment between the two promising regions of the world. Vison of the IATC is to propel the major integration projects initiated by the esteemed governments of the countries to their effective realization and initiate a dialogue to eradicate trade deficiencies through multi-lateral advocacy programmes and help credit lines to be shared with Africa's natural resources and Indian human potential. IATC is privately funded non-government organization which serves as the key liaising body representing the views of both African and Indian business and enterprises having business interest in their respective countries.
