Conceptualized in lockdown and borne of the need for collaboration, the company hosted its first event “Dining in a Silent World”, at the Two Oceans Aquarium. The evening saw the aquarium transform into a 24-seater fine dining pop-up restaurant, taking guests on a curated interactive and experiential gastronomic journey linking various exhibits with stories and information for each course. The evening was a great success and set the tone for the events that followed. The dynamic team of internationally awarded Chef Darren Badenhorst, Executive Chef and winner of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy award for Social Responsibility Callan Austin, and Events Director Thomas Pryor drive one another to push boundaries in conceptualizing new ideas and experiences for guests. Collaboration being at the heart of the company, they have hosted various events in conjunction with the likes of Michelin Star chef Piet Huysenstruyt, world renowned brands such as San Pellegrino, Mullineux and Leeu Passant, Graham Beck, as well as fund raisers in aid of Franschhoek Hospitality academy, all in breath taking and unique venues. With the drive to provide intimate, unique experiences, the company has put specific attention into hosting exclusive private events in the comfort of guests’ homes with a personal and adaptable approach unmatched by any restaurant. Catering to any occasion Storyboard Events have hosted small and intimate private dinners as well as larger soirees, organizing everything any of their clients could ask for and more.
