Sumgait FC is an Azerbaijani football club based in Sumgait city, that plays in the Azerbaijan Premier League. The club was founded in 2010 as Sumgait FC. In May 2011, the team secured their promotion to Azerbaijan Premier League. Sumgait is the only team in APL that consists only from ethnical Azerbaijani players. The club's home ground is Kapital Bank Arena, a multi-use stadium in Sumgait city.
