The Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) program and the Advanced Microcircuit Emulation (AME) program are Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) programs for which SRI International is the prime contractor. The GEM and AME programs combined offer a flexible technology that can be utilized during any phase of a weapon system life cycle. The programs deliver a permanent solution to microcircuit obsolescence. GEM functions at the component or board level while reducing total ownership cost and maintaining system readiness levels.
