Highlighting achievements include the enlistment of three World Heritage sites, which are Qal’at al-Bahrain, Dilmun Burial Mounds, and the Pearling Path that showcases the country’s unique history of pearl diving and set to complete in 2021. Our Vision: - Provide a sustainable environment that broadens artistic and cultural engagement at the local and global levels. - Activate culture’s role in social and economic development. - Engage in thorough research aiding the development of cultural infrastructure. - Raise awareness of the nation’s ancient heritage. - Cultivate human values of citizenship, tolerance, peace, openness and freedom of expression Our Mission: - Preserve cultural heritage and archeological sites. - Draw plans to develop a comprehensive architectural and cultural infrastructure. - Foster an environment that encourages creativity in accordance to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. - Provide the necessary resources to safeguard tangible and intangible heritage. - Support the local culture and arts scene. - Create annual cultural seasons to enrich the regional arts and cultural scene, and enrich the cultural sector through international partnerships. - Promote cultural dialogue by attracting talents and expertise to participate in important events hosted by the Authority. - Establish the groundwork for a dynamic future that actively reveres the past, the arts and variance of human values.
