Our story begins in 1977 when John Hallam founded Ceilings and Partitions, Inc., or CandP, to perform drywall and acoustical construction work in the Washington DC/Baltimore area. In 1984, John’s son, Mark joined CandP, becoming the company’s President and sole owner in 1999 to the present day. We’ve always been located in the Washington DC/Baltimore corridor and are currently located conveniently halfway between both cities in Elkridge, Maryland. Over our nearly four decade history, we’ve been a leading force in drywall, acoustical ceiling, access flooring and operable partition work in the local area, receiving numerous industry awards for our work on many iconic buildings. In 2013, we decided to specialize even further, focusing our collective 100+ years of team experience and expertise solely on access flooring and operable partition projects by partnering with two industry leaders: Tate® Access Flooring and Kwik-­Wall operable partitions. CandP is especially proud to represent two American manufacturers whose products are 100% made in the United States.
