ICSE, the International Conference on Software Engineering, is the premier software engineering conference where researchers, practitioners and educators gather together to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, experiences and issues in the field of software engineering. ICSE 2020, the 42nd instance of the conference series, is coming to Seoul, the capital of South Korea. Seoul has the world’s 4th largest metropolitan economy and is home of the headquarters of global tech companies including Samsung, LG, and Hyundai. As the heart for over 600 years of Korean history, Seoul contains five UNESCO World Heritage Sites–Changdeok Palace, Hwaseong Fortress, Jongmyo Shrine, Namhansanseong and the Royal Tombs of the Joseon Dynasty—in company with modern landmarks including the N Seoul Tower, the 63 Building, the Lotte World Tower, the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Lotte World, Moonlight Rainbow Fountain, COEX, and the Parc1 Tower. ICSE 2020 is looking forward to having contributors from academia, industry, and government to share leading-edge software engineering ideas.
