Phase one unveiled our 4 worlds of adventure - the highly anticipated Oasis Springs water park, Oz Adventure and Outback Explorers and our Wildlife Trail Gumbuya World opened with approximately 150 staff with a target of over 500 employees within 5 years. The vision for future phases of the Gumbuya development will include a retail village, Eco Bush Resort, chocolate factory and microbrewery, Walking with Dinosours exhibit, Indigenous Cultural Centre; just to name a few. The ownership group behind Gumbuya World are making a significant financial contribution to the region’s economy with an investment of over $50 million. Gumbuya World is investing in state-of-the-art equipment, training and safety to provide an amazing guest experience. Acquired in September 2016 from a local family who had owned the park for the past 38 years, Gumbuya World is the vision of a group of Victoria entrepreneurs consisting of Gerry Ryan, Wal Pisciotta, Adam Campbell, Brett Murray, Ray and Ron Weinzierl to reimagine a place that they enjoyed with their families when they were younger and to leave a legacy for future generations.
