Radiance is the annual technology and research festival of mechanical department of IIT Bombay, planned and executed by its students. It serves a niche crowd who enjoy the concepts and theories involved in the field of engineering. This audience is mostly constituted of the student community currently studying engineering. Radiance works on different events throughout the year and aims at organizing an annual festival which aims to bring together this group of people from different parts of the country at one place to experiment their knowledge and explore the fields of engineering through- competitions, exhibitions, lectures and fun activities. Flagship events- VAIGYANIKI: Research paper presentation, this competition provides an excellent platform for building researchers and innovators to present their research work on a competitive platform to be evaluated by experts from the industry and academia. IDP(industry defined problem): This competition is a platform for students to step out of classroom and test their problem solving skills through practical engineering problems. Participants come up with interesting and innovative solutions to tackle the real-life problems faced by Industries. With an influx of fres ideas and different perspectives coming from young talented minds, companies create new avenues for futher technological innovation as well.
