Ladders & Towers from Lyte have been used in many countries all over the world and for all sorts of reasons. One of the most famous expeditions in the world, the ascent to the summit of Mount Everest in May 1953, was completed By Sir Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay and involved the use of a Lyte sectional aluminium ladder. This was used to negotiate the crevasse they encountered and we believe that ladder is still there today! Lyte’s products have been used in many box office smash hit films as well as various popular television DIY programmes. Manufactured in Swansea, Lyte are proud to be one of the only companies still producing products in the UK. The majority of the Lyte portfolio is manufactured at the factory in South Wales.
