Bakhtar Community Organisation is a non-profit, non-religious and non-political Afghan Australian organisation that is established to help the community build social cohesion through preventative initiative, address the root causes of social disharmony and prevent any form of violence, harmful and abusive behaviour in the community. Consistent with the aim of promoting harmony, integration, multiculturalism, inclusion and acceptance; the principle activities and services remain focused on addressing family and domestic violence, harmful and abusive behaviour, gender equity and equality, health literacy, disability, mental health, homelessness, employment and placement opportunity to the community.
