The Save Water Texas Coalition (SWTC) is made up of cities, water agencies, water professionals, community leaders, and educators across Texas who are dedicated to raising public awareness about the critical need for water conservation and water reuse measures in order to assure sustainability of our finite groundwater and surface water resources. This finite natural resource is inextricably bound to the history of Texas. The state is crisscrossed by magnificent rivers…racing on their course to the Gulf of Mexico. Impressive cities have grown up on their banks, now bulging at the seams with the thousands of families who relocate here every year. The bottom line here is that adequate access to WATER…from ground or surface sources…will determine the fate of the state’s rural AND urban areas. By pooling our resources, we are able to actively engage a larger audience; share in the cost of producing creative marketing campaigns and educational programs; and share our critical messaging to these thirsty cities we call home.
