The Western Steel Council (WSC) was formed in 1959 and is the largest of the twelve Employer Associations signatory to the District Council of Iron Workers of the State of California and Vicinity Field Agreement. The WSC also represents fabricators who are signatory to the Shopmen Local 509 and Shopmen Local 790 Agreements. Our members are comprised of contractors who perform reinforcing, miscellaneous, decking and structural erecting and placing work. Eighty percent of Association hours contributed to the various trust funds are from WSC members.
