Since 1959, the nonprofit, volunteer-operated Boonton Historical Society has been showcasing Boonton's rich history through exhibits, programs, and events that are open to all. Located in the landmark John Taylor House at 210 Main Street in Boonton, the Society’s museum hosts special exhibitions each year. The museum's permanent exhibit, “Boonton: The Early Years,” chronicles the town’s history from 1741 to 1903. The gift shops carry a variety of Boonton-related items.
