Established in 1976, the Sri Lanka Tea Board serves as the regulatory and administrative body of the Sri Lankan tea industry. The board is comprised of industry and government representatives working to position ‘Ceylon Tea’ as the #1 global tea brand. In 2017, the Sri Lanka Tea Board is celebrating 150 years of Ceylon tea through a series of events in Sri Lanka and overseas. Famed for producing the finest black tea in the world, Sri Lanka looks to the board for responsibility, clarity and transparency in maintaining its most prized asset—pure Ceylon tea of the highest quality and purity.
