This is the official Linkedin page of the University of Rajshahi, one of the oldest and largest public universities in Bangladesh. It was established on July 6, 1953. Dr. Itrat Hossain Zeberi was the first Vice-Chancellor of the University. The normal academic activities of the University of Rajshahi began in 1954. During the early days of inception, classes were held at Rajshahi Government College. In 1961 the University moved to its present campus at Matihar, Rajshahi. Currently, the university has 59 departments which are divided into 10 faculties. Prof M Abdus Sobhan is currently working as the 23rd Vice-Chancellor of the University since May 2017.
