Sydney Sabre operates the first and only dedicated facility for the Olympic sport of sabre fencing in Australia. It was founded in 2011 by a group of ex-competitive sabre fencers and spectators to offer the wider community an easy way to participate in this dynamic and tactical sport. Sydney Sabre's main facility is located in Stanmore, 2km west of the Sydney CBD on Parramatta Road. It features a pro shop, 11 permanent fencing pistes, and a team of international and national-grade instructors to provide sabre training from beginners to competitive athletes.
