PIVOTPoint WNC
www.pivotpointwnc.orgWe provide door-to-door, therapeutic adventure work. Our facilitators arrive at your program's front door with our all wheel drive, 10-passenger vehicle and take you to one of the many trails and locations to facilitate our transformative, mindfulness-centered work. Whether it be hiking, paddle boarding, rafting, mountain biking, or rock climbing. All of our treks are grounded in group processing around self-reflection, emotional regulation and interpersonal skill building, non-violent communication, guided meditations, action-oriented goal setting, and so much more. By incorporating intention setting and the growth opportunities of safe, natural consequence structure provided by the wilderness, PIVOTPoint WNC experiences enhance the clinical foundations that participants are already establishing in more traditional settings. We work with youth and young adults historically considered at-risk. This means individuals with low- to moderate-acuity clinical, behavioral, and family/peer relational challenges. This means folks who are stalling out with future plans; consistently bucking against feedback and authority figures; or having difficulty settling into work/life/school balance can all find space with PIVOTPoint. Concerns around substance use may or may not be a factor.
