THE CHALLENGE Within a year after making Aliyah the Oleh (person making Aliyah) falls off a virtual cliff; financially, mentally and emotionally. This is what happened to my own parents. The majority of Western Olim return to their county of origin defeated by the economic and practical challenges of moving to a new country with a foreign culture. Yet, the statistical data is in their favor. They need a longer financial runway to succeed and trusted relationships that a network can provide.
