The Federation (lesfondations.be in French, stichtingen.be in Dutch) represents foundations working in the public interest and active in Belgium, whether they are foundations of public utility, private or foreign foundations. Philantropic foundations are active in areas as diverse as social wellbeing, health, education, culture and the arts, heritage, scientific research, citizenship and development.
