Welcome to our LinkedIn page! Dumelang is an independent legal newspaper with over 10 published editions. We are open to new sponsorships, and eager to further cement our spot as the premier law school publication of South Africa. A brief background: In 1937, WITS University's Law Facutly founded a student-run newspaper, named De Minimis. The paper ran until 1989 & was revived in 2018 and renamed Dumelang, with the help of the 2018 Wits Law Student Council. Discovery sponsored Dumelang for a year and the paper thrived, publishing thousands of copies and 5 editions. An archive of these papers is available on our website. Many famous names have graced the publication since 2018. The paper is currently led by its 3rd Editor in Chief and has featured over a dozen student staff.
