Our mission: "In the heart of the City: Healing, Hospitality, and Hope of Jesus." We are a fairly large, dynamic, and growing congregation in the heart of Pueblo. We are welcoming to all, and care and support one another and our gifts of time and financial resources. Since 1870, First Presbyterian has an active and supportive role in the life of the City of Pueblo. We are extraordinarily active in mission and outreach and host, financially assist, or provides volunteer support for nearly three dozen community groups such as AA, NA, NAMI, Alanon, Boys and Girls Club of America, Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, YWCA, CASA, domestic violence shelters, homeless support agencies, mentors for at-risk students, and local and international missionary support. We are also the host to Access Worship a spiritually-nurturing community for those with special needs and their caregivers. We do our best to love God and neighbor and to joyfully share the warmth, love, and forgiveness found in the Jesus with all people through excellent music; passionate worship; inspirational messages; deep and relevant teaching; robust offerings for children, youth, and adults; heartfelt pastoral care; and meaningful mission and fellowship.
