Garcia-Watts Law, LLC
www.garciawattslaw.comAt Garcia-Watts Law, LLC, we tirelessly defend and protect healthcare providers. Our protection begins with prevention by assisting providers in creating and implementing a robust and updated Compliance Plan. Even the most compliant Providers may face an audit or investigation into their professional practice, and in that event, our attorneys are able to guide the Provider every step of the way. When prevention fails leading to prosecution by the US Attorneys for fraud and abuse violations, or in an action against a Provider’s professional license, we will vigorously defend the Provider using our vast experience in both prosecution and defense. Whether you are starting a practic, want to better-protect your existing practice, or are facing a daunting investigation or prosecution, call us to see how we can help. For the past decade, Ms. Garcia-Watts, our founding member, has effectively defended healthcare providers facing allegations of fraud and abuse by the US Attorney and against all manner of allegations by the Professional Boards in NJ & NY. She supports independent providers in setting up their practice; carefully considering and finalizing common and complex corporate transaction; and in compliance with all healthcare laws. Alexandra was intricately involved in developing the primary Health Information Exchange for the Northern NJ region, with the development of State-wide policies around privacy and security of electronic health information, and was also with a Regional Extension Center established to assist primary care providers to “meaningful use” of electronic health records. A professional nurse since 1997, Alexandra was admitted to the NJ Bar in 2001, and immediately became a Deputy Attorney General assigned to the Professional Boards Prosecution Section handling actions against licensed professionals. Ms. Garcia-Watts has been defending providers since 2005, and joined the NY Bar in 2007.
