Hytronic SA was founded in 1987 with the design of our first Flameproof light fitting - The S11. This unit housed a 50w MR16 halogen lamp and started a new trend in the South African Flameproof market and although later discontinued due to an improved version (The S312), more than 10,000 units are circulating in the field. Since then Hytronic SA has come a long way, manufacturing various types of Flameproof Electrical Equipment in South Africa. We also design and manufacture new products and ideas to meet customer requirements. Dealing with and supplying all the leaders in Underground Mining Vehicle Manufacturing both locally and on an International level, we have products approved for a variety of markets, including South Africa (MASC / SABS), ANZex, ATEX, MSHA and IECEx. We submit to the MASC (Mining and Surface Certification) Mark Scheme, and are certified for SANS 60079-0, 60079-1 & 60079-11. We also fly our SABS ISO 9001 flag proudly
