The Federal University of Piauí (UFPI) is a Brazilian public higher education institution, it is the largest university in the state of Piauí and one of the main universities in the Northeast of Brazil. It is headquartered in Teresina, where the university city is located, on the Ministro Petrônio Portela campus. It has campus in the cities of Parnaíba, Picos, Bom Jesus and Floriano. It is recognized for quality in higher education, among the leading Brazilian centers of excellence in teaching, education and research.
