The Oxford Finance Society is a University-based organisation offering invaluable events and information for any Oxford student interested in pursuing a career in finance. In the words of our founding president from 1990, our goal is “to provide our members with the foundation skills and relationships to develop successful financial careers”. To achieve this aim, the Society has established links with financial firms, both small and large, to provide essential insights and contacts in the financial world. We create opportunities and build relationships between our members and financial firms by offering a wide range of events, including networking opportunities (like company presentations before application deadlines), insightful and specific lectures, high-profile speaker events and career workshops (such as CV and interview clinics). These events are not only extremely beneficial for our members, but also give firms direct access to the Oxford University student body. OFS is proud to be one of the largest student organisations with over 4,000 members from a variety of disciplines; this level of access is only possible with the generous help of our sponsors, which allows us to offer OFS membership for free. In this way, firms can develop their graduate recruitment programs, inspire potential recruits and help realise our members’ aspirations.
